Network of more than 210 000 schools with an enrolment of 41 million formal education pupils and 20 million non-formal pupils: the catholic schools welcome boys and girls, young people and girls, without discrimination of religion, race, sex or language. Mission: To expression the active presence of the Church worldwide in the special field of education and in the service of the cultures of the world. To affirm, in the human community of nations, its willingness to cooperate in education in all its forms; To Promote Catholic schools worldwide and the training of its teachers as Christian educators To combatt illiteracy To promote quality education for all

General description: 

Literacy: Literacy project in Quechua (8000 children from Bolivia - High Plateaux of the Andes), financed by a Belgian non-profit-making association "Education and Development" Literacy project in Creole (20,000 children in Haiti) Literacy projects in Kikongo (Lower Congo) and in Kassem (Ghana) under study "Education and Sharing, worldwide project to allow children to go to primary school thanks to the 6-year grants or to sponsorship: - in Venezuela, to school 100 children of streets over 6 years; - in Honduras, 175 children; - in India, 50 children; - in Nicaragua, 75 children; - in Senegal, 25 children; - in Sierra Leone, 25 children; - in south Africa, 25 children; - in Malaysia, 25 children; - in Nigeria, 25 children. Education for peace. Actions in the fields of basic education, pre-school education, technical and vocational education, adult literacy training activities and education for tolerance and peace.
