Asia South Pacific Association For Basic And Adult Education

Objectives and Mission: 

Build and strengthen an Asia Pacific network and advocacy base dedicated to advancing equitable access to relevant, quality and empowering education and learning opportunities for all; enhance the contribution of adult education and learning in empowering people towards creating a new global order which promotes equitable and sustainable human development and protects the rights of all people to live in dignity and peace; promote recognition of the contribution and importance of community groups, people's organizations, NGOs and other civil society organizations in education and development in the region.

General description: 

ASPBAE's priority areas of work are:
Policy advocacy: Advocating for access to quality lifelong learning opportunities and education for all;
Leadership and capacity building: Creating a pool of leaders in adult education in the Asia South Pacific;
Strategic partnerships: Working with those committed to bringing change;
Institutional capacity building: Strengthening systems to carry forward the education agenda;
 
Activities include: Basic Leadership Development Course; training. Works primarily with and through member organizations.
