Alliance De Villes Europeennes De Culture

Objectives and Mission: 

The Alliance of European Cultural Cities is a network created in 1997 on the initiative of five European cities: Olomouc in the Czech Republic, Tours in France, Pécs in Hungary, Toledo in Spain and Cosenza in Italy, aims to set up a network of historic territorial authorities which intend to make their heritage a vector of local sustainable development. The members of this network join forces  to exchange expertise and best practices around the valorization of their heritage.

International Workshop "The valorisation of the urban heritage in the Mediterranean"
International Workshop "Urban heritage in Europe and in the Mediterranean: economic and social development"
Preliminary documentary study of the programme "Medinas 2030", developed by the European Investment Bank

Risk managment
European-Mediterranean Campus "Protection of the cultural heritage against natural risks". In collaboration with the Mediterranean Center for Environmental Studies (CEAM)
International Forum "Heritages and risks in Europe and in the Mediterranean"

Sustainable City
European Agreement "Sustainable development of the historical and cultural cities – Qualicities"
Creation of a methodological guide for the sustainable management of historic cities in the Mediterranean
