Fifth volume of UNESCO’s ECCE working paper series is published

UNESCO has published a literature review of national and international surveys in connection with Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and teaching.

The volume, A Review of International and National Surveys relevant to Early Childhood Care and Education Provision and the Teaching Workforce, is part of the ECCE working paper series and aims to inform the development of the survey instrument and methodology for the Survey of Teachers in Pre-primary education (STEPP) project.

The review was commissioned by UNESCO and includes details of constructs and variables used in surveys of ECCE provision and the teaching workforce. It also identifies lessons learnt from the implementation of surveys from which the STEPP project can benefit from.
