The 2015 Global Monitoring Report (GMR) – Education For All 2000-2015: Achievements and Challenges

Provides a comprehensive assessment of progress towards the six EFA goals set in Dakar at the World Education Forum. It takes stock of which countries did or did not make progress and whether stakeholders upheld their commitments. It discusses which factors influenced the pace of progress and identifies key lessons for shaping the post-2015 global education agenda.

The 2015 Global Monitoring Report will be launched on the 9th of April 2015 at major events in New Delhi, Paris and New York. Speakers will include education ministers from eight countries, including India, Ghana and Senegal, distinguished thought leaders such as Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi and Jeffrey Sachs, and international organizations involved in the post-2015 Sustainable Development goal negotiations. Special launch events are also planned in several cities in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa.

The youth version of the 2015 report, “This is our 2015 #EduVerdict What’s yours?” written in collaboration with A World At School, will be launched on the same day. In it, young people share their experiences of education over the past 15 years and their hopes for a better education future.

If you would like to attend one of our launch events, visit the launch website or write to GMRevents(at)unesco.org. The international launch events will be live-streamed all over the world for those unable to attend.
