Youth Radio Debate on International Women’s Day
Held in the scope of the Networks of Mediterranean NET-MED Youth Project, a youth-led radio debate on gender equality and the role of youth in gender mainstreaming will be live-broadcasted on International Women’s Day in Palestine.
The two-hour debate will include the broadcasting of Vox Pops (opinions of random people in the streets) on the status of gender equality in Palestine. It will also showcase some success stories of women who have used radio and media to enhance their living conditions.
The NET-MED Youth project is a three-year project (2014-2017) implemented by UNESCO in Eastern and Western Mediterranean countries, and funded by the European Union. It aims at mainstreaming youth issues and priorities across national decision-making and policy implementation. It seeks to achieve this by building the capacities of young people and youth organizations.
