Workshop for the conceptualization of the e-school model in Mozambique
This workshop is organized within the framework of the UNESCO-KFIT project on "ICT Transforming Education in Africa", with the goal of conceptualizing the e-school model for Mozambique.
Within the framework of the UNESCO-Korea Funds-in-Trust (KFIT) project on ICT Transforming Education in Africa, and following a needs’ assessment exercise on the potential of ICT for improving education in Mozambique, the definition of the e-school model and terms of reference for the pilot is one of the activities foreseen for the year 2016.
The workshop has the following objectives:
- Present possible configurations for the e-school (e-learning hub) in terms of teaching, learning and school management;
- Agree on the configuration of the feasible primary and secondary e-school model for Mozambique, on the basis of the needs, locations and the available budget;
- Brainstorm on the terms of reference for the monitoring and evaluation of the pilot project;
- Complete the e-school model guidelines, adapting the template provided by UNESCO.
After the workshop, the draft e-school model guidelines will be subject to finalization and approval. A pilot protocol for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the pilot project will need to be developed and finalized by Ministry of Education and Human Development of Mozambique in consultation and with the support of UNESCO.
