As part of the 16 Days of Activism against gender base violence, UNESCO is organizing the conference "Women Right of Protection is a joint responsibility". This event which is organized in cooperation with Press-House Palestine will take place on 24th of November 2015 at the old Roots hotel hall, Al-Rimal, in Gaza.
The conference will be a day before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November) to which women's institutions are invited to present worksheets and publish recommendations through all media outlets.

This conference comes as a response while the World celebrates the 16-day campaign every year to cease conflicts against women. In Gaza, women suffer more than the others of any country due to the Israeli violations, where they are subjected to murders and losing families as well as houses' demolition.

Many activities are implemented within the 16-day campaign, in which its activities concern about awareness and advocacy, and highlight women suffering and the kind of violations they face. Printing brochures about the laws protecting the rights of women and those protecting journalists’ rights will be distributed during the conference and the campaign. A TV report highlighting the abuses that women face in our community and people views of the violations against women will be also delivered and presented during the conference.
