Linking students, academics and researchers from Africa and Arab States to global knowledge
The UNESCO-HP Brain Gain Initiative fosters cooperation across borders among students, academics and scientists from Africa and the Arab States, and helps strengthen research capacities of higher education institutions in the two regions.
The Initiative builds on three trends: the mobility of the highly skilled; the fact that research is increasingly cooperative and international; and the emergence of new tools and networks fostering remote exchanges and collaboration
The workshop on 10 and 11 September comes at the end of the main implementation phase (2009-2013).
It is an opportunity to meet and exchange with partners (representatives from 19 projects, in 14 countries), as well as with stakeholders in the two regions.
The activity serves as well to highlight the projects' achievements and to reflect together on the way forward.
Due to limited seating capacity, registration (free) is highly recommended (contact: firstname.lastname@example.org).
