UNESCO will support the University of Djibouti to organize a training course for 50 teachers on the ICT Competency Framework for teachers. This training aims at aligning Djibouti’s higher education initiatives in ICT with the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for teachers.
Following a detailed presentation and analysis of the Integrated Strategic Plan for the development of ICTs in Djibouti, the training on ICT Competency Framework for teaching staff will not only sensitize teaching staff on the provisions of this Strategic Plan, but will also provide teaching staff with competencies to make use of the infrastructure to be provided by the Strategic Plan, developed by the Ministry of Communication, Postal Services and Telecommunications. During the workshop, participants will be able to reflect on the Integrated ICT Strategic Plan in Djibouti, understand and effectively use ICT in Higher Education.

This activity falls within the framework of UNESCO’s Main Line of Actions MLA 3: Supporting Member States in empowering citizens through universal access to knowledge and the preservation of information and knowledge in Djibouti.
