This training session will gather about 25 presenters (TV and radio), journalists and program managers. They will be trained on the collection and processing of gender-sensitive information, with a focus on gender-based violence (VBG), the monitoring of programs and the evaluation of their impact following the workshop. Issues such as citizenship and women’s rights will be addressed. This training is part of the consolidation and strengthening of knowledge and skills acquired in previous sessions.

Previous training sessions wre organized around the themes of gender-based violence, women's rights and other major issues, including social inclusion, culture of peace, global citizenship, and HIV/AIDS and gender. This workshop will enlarge the targeted audience and consolidate achievements.

The training will use three components of communication for development: social, educational and institutional communication. For its beneficiaries, emphasis will be placed on public and private television and community radio stations. Community media occupy a central place in social communication. Participants will also be chosen in State media. The advantage of these media is that they have a local presence: they use national languages and have a large audience in rural and peri-urban communities.
