The aim is to increase the sense of ownership and the valorization of the Park by communities impacted by its creation, as well as boost the self-esteem of the families that live in the area. We also hope to convey to this public the importance of the Serra da Capivara National Park in a global context, awakening a greater comprehension of its history, as well as the awareness and involvement necessary for its maintenance and preservation. In its 40 minutes running time, the film Serra da Capivara covers various aspects of what is one of the richest archaeological sites in the world. The documentary exhibits the natural and cultural treasures of the Piauí interior, with a special emphasis on the rich collection of cave paintings and resuming the debate on culture as an essential factor in the development of societies.
