On 27-28 June 2014, in Ohrid, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a meeting of the ministers of culture of South-East Europe (SEE) launched the renewed “Council of Ministers of Culture of South-East Europe – Enhancing Culture for Sustainable Development” (CoMoCoSEE) as the main unified ministerial cooperation platform on culture and development in South-East Europe, following the decision taken in 2013 to merge the two previous cooperation platforms that had operated side by side for almost a decade. This meeting was the first of the new, unified platform for ministerial cooperation in the region.

The main purpose of this second CoMoCoSEE Ministerial Conference is to discuss the further enhancement of the regional cooperation on culture and development, with a special focus on supporting the implementation of the “Ohrid Regional Strategy for Cultural Cooperation in South-East Europe”.

Participants in the meeting will include Ministers of culture and high-level representatives of CoMoCoSEE Member States (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Observers (Austria, Italy, UNESCO, European Commission, Council of Europe).
