On the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development, a series of educational charts from the Deyrolle pour l’Avenir collection will be shown at UNESCO. These charts demonstrate how science can help society find a path towards sustainability.
Energy, water, biodiversity: science offers precious solutions in a world where resources are becoming scarce. The exhibition includes charts in Arabic, French, English, Portuguese and Spanish, demonstrating the universality of the challenges facing humanity in the coming years.

A series on energy and water aims to showcase the multiple services and progress provided by science in recent years (clean transportation, renewable energies, new methods to recycle water, etc.) that will enable us to build a more sustainable society and to lessen our impact on the environment. The biodiversity series presents the complexity of nature and its interactions with humans, as only a deep understanding of these systems can help tomorrow’s science.
Finally, the parallel between old and new charts highlight the evolution of science: if science used to build knowledge, today science and knowledge both have to help us build a more sustainable world.

This exhibition, organized by Deyrolle pour l’Avenir in cooperation with the UNESCO, draws from the extensive archives of Deyrolle, a publishing house which has been working in the field of Natural Sciences since 1831.
