Refresher Course of designing vocational training curricula based on Competency Based Training (CBT) Methodology

Within the framework of the project titled ‘Reforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Iraq’, this 4-day refresher course is organized to improve and upgrade the competencies of the CBT curricula developers to enable them to review the three CBT packages that were developed earlier before the piloting phase.
Within the framework of the project titled ‘Reforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Iraq’ and as part of Objective 2 of the project which is:
“A modern, demand driven TVET sub-sector supported by comprehensive interpretation of the current and expected future needs of the labour market”

This 4-day refresher course is organized to improve and upgrade the competencies of the CBT curricula developers to enable them to review the three CBT packages that were developed earlier before the piloting phase.
The workshop also aims at developing the capacities of staff in curricula departments to assist in reviewing the three packages to meet the labor market needs/changes and the new developments in CBT.

Expected learning outcomes:
1) Identify the key features of the CBT against the traditional Vocational Training
2) Conduct occupational and functional analysis
3) Develop Competencies Standards
4) Identify the key steps in developing CBT packages with all the components to fit with the international standards
