The Private Meeting of the IBC Working Group on Big Data in Health Care and Health Research will be held in Cologne from 23 to 25 May 2016, hosted by the Cologne Center for Ethics, Rights, Economics, and Social Sciences of Health (CERES), with financial support from Utrecht University (Netherlands) and the University of Cologne (Germany).

The International Bioethics Committee (IBC) is a body of 36 independent experts that follows progress in the life sciences and its applications in order to ensure respect for human dignity and freedom. It was created in 1993.
