A presentation on archaeological investigation in Lumbini, birthplace of Lord Buddha and Tilaurakot, an ancient Shakya Kingdom where Lord Buddha lived twenty-nine years of his life as Prince Siddhartha Gautama, by Professor Robin Coningham from Durham University, UK.
The archaeological investigation is carried out jointly by the Department of Archaeology, the Lumbini Development Trust and Durham University, UK within the framework of the Japanese Government funded project "Strengthening the Conservation and Management of Lumbini, the Birthplace of the Lord Buddha”, implemented by UNESCO. The event is open to all.
