*NET-MED Youth is a project implemented by UNESCO with the support of the European Union. Through its media component, the project aims at promoting a better representation of youth, and at driving advocacy for a better integration of youth, their concerns, challenges, aspirations and creative forces in local media.

Using critical analysis and a touch of humor, the exhibit will contribute to raising awareness among the general public on youth issues at the levels of education; health; civic participation; freedom of expression; and access to culture, information and employment.

This experience aims at supporting youth organizations in their efforts to promote civic engagement, democracy and human rights; and at encouraging them to use other forms expression and tools to establish dialogue with other youth, institutions, decision-makers, media and the general public.

The workshop is organized by NET-MED Youth, in collaboration with Cartooning for Peace, Moroccan Cartoon Center and la Maison de la Presse in Tangier. It is inspired by « Draw me the Mediterranean», an exhibit of Cartooning for Peace that aims at offering through editorial cartooning the keys to read and comprehend major issues in the Mediterranean basin, such as freedom of expression, borders, migration, the environment, youth challenges and many more.
