Meeting of the Jury of the UNESCO–Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences
The Jury of the UNESCO–Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences will meet at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 30 and 31 March 2017.
The Jury will consider nominations submitted by UNESCO Member States and non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO.
The Jury will submit its recommendations to the Director-General.
The purpose of this Prize is to reward the projects and activities of an individual, individuals, institutions, other entities or non-governmental organizations for scientific research in the life sciences leading to improving the quality of human life.
The Prize consists of a diploma, a statuette “Integracion Tribal” of the Equatorial Guinean artist Leandro Mbomio and the sum of $300,000 divided among a maximum of three laureates, each of which is considered to merit a prize.
