Meeting of the Approval Committee of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport
The Approval Committee is in charge of the allocation of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport.
During this meeting, a series of anti-doping projects will be analyzed by Committee members. Discussions will also focus on how to grow the Fund’s visibility and online presence, as well as the elaboration of tools to support States Parties develop consistent and quality project applications across all world regions.
The Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport was set forth in Article 17 of the International Convention against Doping in Sport.
The primary purpose of the Fund is to help States Parties to meet their obligations under the Convention, and in particular to develop and implement anti-doping programmes in accordance with the Convention.
The Committee comprises Six States Parties representatives (Finland, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, the Russian Federation and Zambia) and a representative of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
