Launch of a series of six documentary films on the UNESCO General History of Africa
This meeting aims to inform the Members States of the launching of a series of six films using the contents of the GHA to be produced by the famous BBC journalist and producer Zeinad Badawi thanks to the funding of the Moroccan State-owned Company OCP S.A. This event will be held in Room IV, on Tuesday 10 February 2015 from 3.00 to 5.00 pm.
Following the signing of a Partnership agreement between UNESCO, Kush Communication Ltd and OCP S.A, a meeting will be organized to inform the Members States and the partners of the GHA of the launching of a series of six films of 52 minutes each based on the General History of Africa. One of the leading international leading company of fertilizers, OCP, has accepted to provide 2.3 million US $ for these documentaries that will be produced by famous BBC journalist and producer Zeinab Badawi. This project will translate into images one the UNESCO’s major contribution to the knowledge of Africa and offer to a broad public an African perspective on the History of Africa.
