This project will support a group of women from Umm el-Jimal enabling them to acquire the necessary skills to improve their livelihoods through the opportunities provided by the efficient promotion and management of the archaeological site of Umm el-Jimal. The overall objective of the project relies on involving the local community in managing properly its heritage with its consequent increase of tourism and economic benefit for the village, as well as improved preservation of the site. This event will mark the beginning of the first phase of this project and will take place in Umm el-Jimal, with the involvement of the local community.
