Kenya: Training Workshop on editorial, programming and radio production for Community Radios
UNESCO is organising a 4-day joint training workshop for 18 community radio practitioners from 6 community radios on raising capacities to produce radio programmes and editorial, programming and monitoring matters, including radio formats for community radio practitioners in Kwale County, Kenya.
The training aims at gauging gender sensitivity in local radios content, operations and scheduling strategies, strengthen capacity of radio practitioners on radio production and also develop their capacity to generate public debates on their specific areas of local public concern.
Participants will be drawn from 6 Kenyan community radio stations namely; from Bulala FM, Baliti FM, Kwale Ranet FM, Koch FM, Sauti FM, and Mang’elete FM.
This activity has been organised under the ongoing UNESCO SIDA supported project themed: “Empowering Local Radios with ICTs” in Kenya.
