The human face and the character

At the end of the 18th century a Zürich pastor Johann.Kaspar Lavater advanced a theory arguing for a close relationship between body as being expressed in the human face and soul or the individual personality. The theory was discussed all over Europe. Napoleon e.g. rejected the idea, Goethe e.g. was in favour.
