On the margins of the High-level Political Forum and the High Level Segment of ECOSOC, the Permanent Missions of Norway, Morocco, the Republic of Korea, UNESCO and UNICEF are organizing a ministerial breakfast meeting on Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Education 2030: What polices and data to ensure that no one is left behind?

This meeting will discuss opportunities and challenges at country level and what is required by governments and partners to address the needs of the most marginalized populations and in ensuring inclusion, equity and gender equality in and through education in terms of policies, plans and strategies, governance, funding, partnerships, and indicator frameworks as well as how to monitor and measure progress made in closing the equity gap.

The event will be chaired by the Director-General of UNESCO and will feature the Prime Minister of Norway, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the UN and President of ECOSOC, the Minister of Education of Bolivia, high level government representatives from Morocco and Tanzania, ILO, UNICEF, the Global Partnership for Education, and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics.
