Gender equality is essential for sustainable development and inclusive water management. In this session leading international gender and water experts will discuss the importance of gender sensitive water monitoring in the context of climate change and related goals for sustainable development.
Tentative agenda:-

Opening Remarks.

First Speech: Francesca Greco will present WWAP's project on Gender Sensitive Water Monitoring.

Second speech: A speaker from the WWAP Working Group on Sex Disaggregated Indicators will present the main findings of the group and the contribution it has made to the WWAP project.

Third speech: A second speaker from the working group may also contribute (TBC).

Fourth Speech: A case study on gender and water innovations (TBC).

Fifth Speech - A speaker from the GGRETA project will discuss the use of sex-disaggregated indicators (TBC).
