The conference will take place on June 29th at 7:00 pm at the offices of the UNESCO headquarters in San Jose. The conference will talk about the recovery of the historical memory of the Costa Rican people.
For various reasons having to do with, among other factors, the weakening of the education system and the negative influence of excessive consumption and a pseudo culture generated and promoted by globalization, the Costa Rican people have been gradually but consistently losing their historical memory. This includes national context, and situations and concrete facts within a historical and social reality that explains in an integrated, systemic and comprehensive manner, the causal relationship between past, present and future.
Due to this situation, a multilateral project has been established with MCJ, MEP, UNESCO and IFAM, promoting a rethinking of historical memory in all sectors and strata of Costa Rican society.
