The 2015 General Conference of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR) will be hosted by the City of Karlsruhe, Germany, from 8 to 9 October 2015.

As one of seven regional and national Coalitions of the International Coalition of Cities against Racism (ICCAR), the Conference will bring together ECCAR members and key stakeholders to highlight the prominent role of cities in the global fight against racism and discrimination.

The Conference will include panel discussions and workshops addressing the theme “Welcoming Cities – Keys for an anti-racist culture”.

The International Coalition of Cities against Racism is an initiative launched by UNESCO in March 2004 to establish a network of cities interested in sharing experiences in order to improve their policies to fight racism, discrimination, xenophobia and exclusion.
