This event will create a space for discussion from which scholars, administrators, legislators, among others, can propose a guide for the necessary changes in the rules on environmental flows in Costa Rica. Environmental flow is fundamental to the management of water resources as a tool for adaptation to climate change in a country.
The event will use a methodology that is based on knowledge of the water system and that considers the ecological and socioeconomic requirements that all water users require. Environmental flow, which is part of the UNESCO area of natural sciences, is fundamental to the management of water resources as a tool for adaptation to climate change in a country. Additionally, it is necessary for large uses of water and for the development of hydropower projects.
