As part of the national curriculum development process, Iraqi specialists have spent the past 3 months drafting math and science student books for grades 4 to 6. This workshop will aim to review and revise the first draft of the materials and designs in order to come out with the second drafts for 4 to 6 student books (math and science books for each grade from 4 to 6).

The national curriculum development process for Iraq goes into three main stages: (1) Developing a national curriculum framework (2) Developing subject matter syllabuses (3) Developing instructional and support materials. The first two stages were finalized and curriculum specialists were trained on how to develop the instructional materials. Iraqi specialists have spent the past 3 months drafting math and science student books for grades 4 to 6.
The goals of this workshop is to review and revise the first draft of the materials and the design in order to come out with the second drafts for 6 student books (math and science books for each grade from grades 4 to 6). Moreover, this workshop will train the Iraqi curriculum specialists on the process of developing math and science textbooks and also train Iraqi graphic designers on how to design textbooks.
