Commemoration of the International Day of Peace in Costa Rica

On Wednesday, September 21st, UNESCO will be participating in the national commemoration of the International Day of Peace in Cartago, Costa Rica, co-organized by the Viceministry of Peace, the Ministry of Public Education, and the Ministry of Youth and Culture. UNESCO will have a stand at the event, where we will be sharing information and materials on our actions and programs that promote peace in Central America.
The theme of this year's event is "Combat Indifference; Don't be an Accomplice to Bullying". The Ministry of Peace has invited youth from across the country to participate in this event, where there will be government speakers and workshops in order to raise awareness about bullying, and teach youth about their role in promoting a culture of peace in Costa Rica.

In addition, this event will also include a prize awarding ceremony, to the winners of the Ministry of Peace's contest: "A Song for Peace". The Ministry will award prizes to the top 3 finalists.
