Capitalizing on e-learning resources to promote intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding
A coordination meeting of the UNESCO project “Developing e-learning resources for the promotion of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding”, funded by the Government of Azerbaijan, will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 25 and 26 October 2016.
This meeting will gather experts and members of the Advisory Committee of this project. They will review preliminary findings from the regional mappings on e-learning resources undertaken in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Arab States, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The objective is to assess the potential of e-learning resources found and of the analysis provided on opportunities, trends and challenges for the use of such resources.
The reference publication to be produced by this initiative and the e-platform being developed to become a UNESCO hub for such resources will also be discussed.
This project is an integral part of UNESCO’s contribution to the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue to be held in 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and falls within the Action Plan and Roadmap for the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022), which UNESCO spearheads for the United Nations.
