The NEQMAP Central Asia Sub-Regional Capacity Development Workshop co-organized by UNESCO Bangkok and UNESCO Almaty offices examines the up-to-date assessment techniques and models used for test and item development and design. The event is organized for education and learning assessment specialists for the government and international and local agencies.

The Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP) is a regional platform established by the UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education (UNESCO Bangkok) in March 2013. NEQMAP aims to improve the quality of learning in the Asia-Pacific by enhancing the use of student learning assessment to strengthen education systems. The network supports countries in the region through capacity development, research and knowledge sharing activities.

The three-day workshop, which focuses on “Assessment Literacy and Test and Item Development and Design” will be facilitated by foreign experts, on behalf of the Pearson Assessment Centre.
