2nd Editorial Board Meeting - 2005 Convention Global Report Series
The Stockholm editorial board meeting will serve to review progress on the individual chapters, discuss the status of data collection and identify emerging trends for each chapter.
This second meeting of the editorial board of the 2017 Global Report on the implementation of the 2005 Convention will be held in Stockholm, Sweden with the support of the Swedish Arts Council, and the Swedish National Commission for UNESCO.
The biennial Global Report series is conceived as a tool to monitor the impact of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions since it entered into force in 2007. It is designed to facilitate information sharing and knowledge production, with particular focus on progress made toward achieving the four main goals of the Convention : support sustainable systems of governance for culture; achieve a balanced flow of cultural goods and services and increase the mobility of artists and cultural professionals; integrate culture in sustainable development frameworks; promote human rights and fundamental freedoms.
The first two editions of the Global Report are supported within a broader programme funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
