On 28 September, UNESCO's International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) will host a day-long event titled “Powering sustainable development with public access to information”. The event, called the “IPDC Talks”, will be held with the purpose of celebrating this International Day for Universal Access to Information, and highlight the key importance of Access to Information in the success of implementation of the SDGs. It consists of a series of innovative and dynamic talks by which philosophers, journalists, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, academics and community leaders working towards the achievement of different SDGs around the world reflected on the key role of access to communication in their efforts.
