Spreading cultural diversity through books production

With the purpose of spreading cultural diversity to public and private institutions and civil society, there were made the following printings:

• 1. Printing of 1,000 copies of PhD Guillermo Paz Cárcamo investigation about the life of Kaji’ Imox, principally of Kaqchikel people, during the Spanish invasion.
• 2. Printing of 1,000 copies of the “Visions”, from Guillermo Paz Cárcamo about the ancestral Mayan symbolism preserved in the altarpiece of some of the churches in Guatemala.
• 3. Printing of 2,000 copies of the book: “Zero Dimension”, investigation from the PhD Erik Espinoza Villatoro about the ethno-medicine, philosophy and modern physics of Mayan Community.
• 4. Printing of 3,000 copies of the book “The Cakchiqueles in the Conquest of Guatemala”, from the author Francis Polo Sifontes, which describes part of the Kaqchikel people’s life, during the Spanish invasion.
• 5. Printing of 3,000 copies of a compilation of children stories of the linguistic Mayan Itzá community, this research was made by the General Direction of Cultural Development and Strengthening of Cultures, Academy of Mayan Languages and the delegates of the linguisticMayan Itzá community.
• 6. Printing of 2,000 copies from a stock about Mayan costumes denominated “Knitting our ancestors’ heart”.
• 7. Printing of 500 copies of a Basic Guide to the multicultural and intercultural coexistence, made by the General Direction of Cultural Development and Strengthening of Cultures.
• 8. Printing of 2,000 copies of an investigation about Mayan costumes made by the founders of the Ixkik’ Museum of the Mayan costume in Quetzaltenango.
• 9. Printing of 117 copies of a Stock-Brochure of indigenous children and teenagers’ literature from Guatemala with the register of cards issued during 1960 to 2014, including the languages as Kaqchikel, K’iche’, Q’eqchi, Ixil and Mam and other languages with a very limited literature as Xinka and Garífuna.
