ARTISTIC EDUCATION - Formation of future culture professionals nourishing creativity and innovation
In 2014,we included as pilot program for artistic education Creativity School RUNA SIMI,a practica l school of art and craft for children and adolescents from the district of Villa Atamisqui. The main objectives of this policy and measure are the following:
To favor a central participation of children and youngsters by offering excellent artistic quality.
To develop aesthetic perception and sensitivity and the imagination of children, adolescents and youngsters.
To get children and youngsters closer to artistic activities and to raise them in the need and habit of participating in them as creators and trainers.
To foster knowledge, strengthening and defense of our cultural values.
The students at RUNA SIMI schools take cla sses in folklore, drums, guitar and singing. S imultaneously,we also train them in producing
"bombo leguero" (local drams) and organize loom and luthier cla sses.
In my view, the greatest accomplishment was the integration of the community's school of art and craft and artistic and cultural representatives to the project, i.e.,we managed to make the project sustainable by allocating budget to artisans and local artists, and integrate them to what I called "La Fiesta de Ia Creatividad" I "Celebration of Creativity".
