Celebrating women’s creativity in the digital era
Women’s creativity is unstoppable – and their art and creative expressions are ever more visible thanks to the internet and new technologies. In celebrate of women in the digital creative industries, UNESCO Bangkok will organize a series of two virtual debate: ‘The Digital Creativity and Women Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Gender Equality Policy in Asia-Pacific Region’. These ResiliArt debates will bring together renowned artists and cultural professionals from across Asia. The panelists will share their experiences as well as shed light on unique challenges faced by women as cultural goods and services move to the digital sphere. This unique opportunity will serve as a source of inspiration and practical tips for new generations of creative women.
The programme celebrates the completion of UNESCO | Sabrina Ho initiative “You Are Next: Empowering Creative Women”, a multi-year project that empowered and trained young women under the age of 40 in Mexico, Palestine, Senegal and Tajikistan. Through “You Are Next” these women gained access to the digital tools, received technical courses and developed entrepreneurial skills.
