Mr Francis Joseph Wani, aka Yuppie Jay, is the Chief Executive Director and Founder of the Street Beats Foundation, an NGO based in Juba, South Sudan. The foundation supports songwriting, recording, music mentorship and promotion and aims to empower, transform and innovate communities in South Sudan. Yuppie Jay is a South Sudanese reggae, dancehall, afro and solo artist born in 1991. He has a Diploma in Social Works and Social Administration from Makerere Institute for Social Development (MISD) in Uganda. He started his Music career in 2010 with a group called Jay Family entertainment. He started his solo artist career in 2016 when he formed the Street Beats Music Foundation. Yuppie Jay recorded his first solo album of 10 songs with three videos in 2019. The Street Beats Music Foundation recently released a COVID-19 prevention awareness raising song with the All-Star South Sudanese artists around Juba. He is currently the Ambassador of Thought For Food (TFF) South Sudan. TFF is an American-based organization that engages the youth to accelerate change making programs in the world and is focused on growing the agriculture and food security sector. His vision is to “Empower, Transform and Innovate Communities”.
