From 3 to 15 May 2016, artists from the Centre for media arts Perte de Signal of the Creative City of Montreal (Design) will be collaborating with artists from the Creative City of Dakar (Media Arts) to run together a collaborative workshop-residency untitled “Libremapping”, in the framework of the Afropixel Festival whose main topic developed for this 5th edition is the “Common city”.
For over ten years, the city of Enghien-les-Bains, UNESCO Creative City for media arts, is committed to open digital creation to the public space. On the occasion of the winter season, the town organizes key artistic events all over the city. Video mapping projects (architectural projections) are offered to residents and visitors with the aim of highlighting the architectural beauty of the buildings and sublimate Christmas.
Enghien-les-Bains (France), designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts in 2013, has been chosen by the member cities to host the Network’s XI Annual Meeting. Following the online vote – launched in February and opened to the Cities designated before 2015 – to select the Host City of the 2017 UNESCO Creatives Cities Network (UCCN) Annual Meeting, the results are today unveiled: Enghien-les-Bains will be the city hosting the 2017 UCCN Annual Meeting from 29 June to 2 July 2017.     
Sapporo Yukiterrace project is turning the city’s snowy winters into a creative space by giving the opportunity to artists of expressing themselves through the leitmotiv of snow and light.
From 28 to 30 January 2016, the Paris Images Digital Summit (PIDS) will be held by UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Enghien-les-Bains Arts Centre with the support of Ile-de-France Film Commission.  
As a City of Media Arts, York is a meeting point for ideas and creativity. Illuminating York was established in 2005 as an annual festival designed, through the creative use and celebration of light, to reveal the City of York in new ways.  It is a significant event in the cultural life of the city; this year it will take place over four nights and days, from 28th to 31st October and is again projected to attract an audience of over 50,000 people.

Sapporo organizes the SAPPORO YUKITERRACE 2015, a Media Arts event on Akapla Square.    Opened in July 2014, the Sapporo Kita 3-jo Plaza “Akapla” offers the city’s center a new space for relaxation and festivity. This Akapla square was the stage to the SAPPORO YUKITERRACE 2015 conveying the region’s winter allure through a combination of snow and light.
